Terms of Service

Last updated 31 August 2026

1. Agreement

By accessing or using Election OS (the “Service”) you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you are authorised to bind that organisation.

2. What the Service is — and is not

Election OS is campaign-organising and mobilisation software: voter-roll management, outreach, canvassing, fundraising, analysis and turnout tooling. It runs a campaign. It is not an official ballot, vote-counting, or election-administration system, and must not be used to conduct or certify an official vote.

3. Your responsibilities

  • Comply with all applicable election, campaign-finance, privacy, and anti-spam laws (including consent and contact-hour rules) in your jurisdiction.
  • Only upload data you are lawfully entitled to process, and honour opt-outs, unsubscribes and erasure requests.
  • Keep credentials secure; you are responsible for activity under your accounts and API keys.
  • Do not use the Service to harass, defraud, impersonate, or target private individuals, or to interfere with an official election.

4. Acceptable use

You may not attempt to breach security or access other tenants’ data, reverse-engineer the Service except as permitted by law, or resell it without authorisation. We may suspend accounts that put the Service, its users, or the public at risk.

5. Payments

Paid plans and contribution processing are billed through third-party processors. You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of any contributions you collect, and for any applicable disclosure and reporting obligations.

6. Data

Handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. You remain the controller of the voter and supporter data you upload.

7. Warranty & liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Election OS and its operators are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for outcomes of any election or campaign.

8. Changes & termination

We may update these Terms; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Either party may terminate as described in the applicable order or plan. On termination you may export your data as provided in the Service.

9. Contact

Questions about these Terms should be directed to the operator of this Election OS deployment.
